As Business Unit Manager Flex Europe at MTD, you will shape our Flex business unit. You will put Flex Water on the map in Europe!
But what does our Flex unit entail? Your team focuses on four specific market segments: temporary housing, offshore, natural disasters and utilities. Currently, Flex is a limited share of our business; you will build this in the coming years.
This is a new challenging senior position with broad responsibility. To stimulate the desired growth, we have opted for a new company structure with closer cooperation between the sales and marketing departments. With this adjustment, we believe we will be able to operate in a more structured, efficient and market-oriented way.
As Business Unit Manager, you will lead the sales department and work closely with marketing, work preparation and operations. You are responsible for leading and optimising the commercial activities for Flex in Europe. You monitor market developments and translate commercial objectives and strategies into an annual operational plan in close cooperation with marketing and research & development.
In doing so, you translate the commercial objectives into concrete targets for different regions and communicate these clearly to your team and closely monitor progress. You also coordinate your team's acquisition activities and ensure effective follow-up of incoming and qualified requests.
Besides achieving sales results, you focus on building and maintaining sustainable relationships with relevant stakeholders in the industry. You implement a differentiated account management approach and maintain some key accounts yourself this in close coordination with the area managers. By building long-term relationships within the defined customer base, you ensure a stable and growing customer base.
In addition, an important part of this role is the responsibility for the management of your international team. You coach your team in following up and supervising tenders. In addition, you actively manage the project list and report monthly on progress and make accurate forecasts.
Internally, you ensure a good balance between the interests of the Flex unit and the broader interests of the other business unit managers. You contribute to a positive working atmosphere and optimal working conditions within your team and other departments. You are also responsible for organising sales meetings, in which you discuss strategic, marketing and product development points, as well as sales results.
In this role, you will report to the Managing Director Europe of MTD.
