MTD FLEX continues its growth and is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Dutch and German markets
As Business Development Manager Industry / Flex Netherlands and Germanyyou are responsible for actively generating new customers and sales growth. You are energised by cold acquisition, opening doors and closing deals.
A challenging position in an international working environment within a globally growing organisation. As a water partner, MTD Flex connects urgent and (un)planned projects in different locations. Key sectors you will work with include: defence, industry and multinationals, NGOs, government, temporary accommodation, water utilities and offshore.

In your role as Business Development Manager, no day is the same. You will be responsible for the commercialisation of several unique projects. From the first site visit to the evaluation of a project with the client. You maintain and develop the current account portfolio and acquire new accounts. You are responsible for translating the customer demand into a tailor-made offer and you are able to make strong analyses of developments within the market. You work closely with Engineering & Design and experienced project managers.
Job content
- Actively approach potential customers via phone, email, customer visits and networking events;
- Identify market opportunities and develop your own acquisition plan to acquire new customers;
- Proactively manage current client portfolio;
- Translate customer demand into MTD's capabilities and create customer-specific quotes;
- Bear revenue and margin responsibility for your projects;
- Working closely with Engineering & Design (work preparation) and the project managers;
- Visit the project sites as necessary before, during and after the project;
- Actively involved in project meetings at client and on-site;
- Shared responsibility for customer payments;
- Proactively collaborate with various disciplines at MTD's headquarters in Tilburg.
What makes you the right candidate?
- An experienced professional with knowledge of the BtB rental market (water/pumping technology, semi-permanent housing, production stops, disaster relief/emergency response).
- Be able to work on several projects simultaneously, always keeping your project records in order in the CRM;
- Have a college education or equivalent work and thinking level;
- Be positive and enthusiastic;
- A driven team player with strong communication skills and be a real doer;
- Proactive, creative and able to work independently;
- Dutch,English and German language skills (written and oral);
- Be presentable and have demonstrable experience with market segment customers.
