We are busy expanding our US team and are therefore looking for an intrinsically motivated person in the US to support our mission. Join the MTD team as a key figure in temporary water solutions!

Are you ready to dive into the world of events? MTD specialises in providing temporary water solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects around the world. As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the entire rental fleet (MTD temporary water solutions equipment). In short, you will ensure that the right equipment is delivered to the right location at the right time.

You will ensure the quality of our rental fleet and that it remains "ready-to-rent". This fleet consists of materials designed for international deployment and uniformity. You ensure that materials are assigned to the right projects in our system, you identify material shortages for projects in a timely manner and discuss possible purchase or sale of materials with the Group Manager Fleet & Support, and you ensure that the barcode system is always up to date and properly used, so that the rental fleet is always accurate.

Reports to: Group Manager Fleet & Support (based in the Netherlands). MTD USA has warehouses in Las Vegas and Atlanta.

Job content
  • Acts as liaison and discusses procurement quotes for the rental fleet and rolling stock in consultation with the Group Manager Fleet & Support;
  • Updates the rental programme with the correct project data;
  • Keeps the entire Fleet "rental-ready" by working closely with the warehouse team;
  • Works closely with the engineering team to ensure the right equipment is added to projects;
  • Manages any equipment shortage by forecasting and tracking projects in the software;
  • Processes changes in purchase prices;
  • Controls scanning of incoming and outgoing materials;
  • Ensures that materials used by mechanics are recorded on bills of materials;
  • Monitors registration of materials used on projects;
  • Monitors registration of materials returned from projects;
  • Organises logistics for the projects and negotiates rates
What makes you the right candidate?
  • You have good written and verbal skills in English;
  • You preferably have a higher technical installation degree;
  • You represent MTD's commitment to quality and reliability in every interaction;
  • You have good skills with programmes such as Microsoft Office and a Warehouse Management System;
  • You are a team player;
  • You take responsibility - you are someone who takes ownership of your role, takes pride in your work and brings tasks to completion;
  • You do not have a 9-to-5 mentality and are flexible;
  • You stay motivated to do your best. Not because someone is watching, but because excellence is your personal standard;
  • You have an eye for details find it important to do things right;
  • You can work independently in a structured and disciplined manner;
  • You have at least 2 years' experience in similar positions;
  • You can work on different tasks under pressure, stay calm, keep an overview and can prioritise.
