We are expanding our US team and we are looking for an intrinsically motivated individual based in the US to join our mission. Join the MTD team as a key player in temporary water solutions!

Are you ready to dive into the world of events? MTD specialises in providing temporary water solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects around the world. As a Fleet Manager, you are responsible for the rental fleet (equipment for temporary water solutions). In short, you ensure that the right material is delivered in good condition, in correct quantities, at the right time and to the right location.

You ensure the quality of our rental fleet and that it remains "ready-to-rent". This fleet consists of materials designed for international deployment and uniformity. With the MTD Operations team, you ensure that materials are allocated to the right projects in our system, material shortages for projects are identified in a timely manner and discuss possible purchase and disposal of the equipment. The Fleet department in collaboration with the warehouse team, ensures that you know where all the material is at all times by supervising the use of scanning and keeping the systems up-to-date.

MTD USA has warehouses in Las Vegas and Atlanta. You will report to the Global Fleet Manager (based in the Netherlands).

Job content
  • Purchase new equipment as needed to ensure optimum inventory for the project requirements;
  • Manages agreements and quality processes with vendors;
  • Verifies accuracy of invoices and receipt of new equipment;
  • Supports the building up of Bill of Materials for equipment kitting;
  • Works closely with the engineering team to ensure the right equipment is added to projects;
  • Manages any equipment shortage by forecasting and tracking projects in software;
  • Controls scanning of incoming and outgoing materials;
  • Ensures materials used by technicians are recorded on bills of materials;
  • Monitors registration of materials used on projects;
  • Monitors registration of materials returned from projects;
  • Organises logistics for the projects and negotiates rates;
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory.
What makes you the right candidate?
  • You have great written and verbal skills in English;
  • You have preferably completed higher technical or college degree;
  • You represent MTD's commitment to quality and reliability in every interaction;
  • You enjoy working with programs such as Microsoft Office and a Warehouse Management System;
  • You are a team player;
  • You take responsibility – you’re someone who owns your role, takes pride in your work and sees tasks through completion;
  • You stay motivated - you are driven to do your best, not because someone is watching, but because excellence is your personal standard;
  • You do not have a 9-to-5 mentality and are flexible;
  • You care about details - you want to get things right;
  • You can work independently in a structured and disciplined manner;
  • You have at least 2 years' experience in similar positions;
  • You can work on different tasks under high pressure, stay calm, maintain an overview and can prioritize;
  • Preferably, you have experience in the world of water / plumbing and are familiar with the equipment.
