As Operations Manager Flex Middle East, based in Riyadh, you will manage the Operations Team which usually consists of project managers, engineers (field engineers) and planning, on a daily basis.

The Middle East is one of our main focus regions for growth which means that your team will have to grow accordingly. Not all roles are fulfilled currently so this role requires a hands-on approach including on-site project management. In this role, you will be fully responsible for planning, coordinating, executing and controlling MTD's daily operational activities in the Flex (or industry) sector within the Middle East.

You liaise closely with account and project managers on the progress of acquired projects, and with the team of field engineers on execution. Customer satisfaction, quality, efficient use of personnel, resources and materials and the implementation of process improvements are central to your role. You will report to the COO from the Netherlands.

Job content

Oversee day-to-day Flex operations in Middle East, ensuring efficiency in workflow, logistics, and resource management;
Ensure proper coordination between the Operations team, Engineering & Design and Fleet (material or supply chain department);
Ensure sufficient, well-trained staff for the projects;
Is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of projects;
Identifies early bottlenecks that may affect project implementation and resolves them;
Manages the hiring and deployment of seasonal workers;
Monitors the recording of hours and costs, and pre- and post-calculations of projects;
Regularly visits project sites;
Cost-conscious and seeks improvements wherever possible;
Reports on operational performance and implements optimizations.

What makes you the right candidate?

Bachelor's degree, preferably in construction;
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position;
You have experience in setting up and growing an operations team;
You can work on several projects simultaneously without any problem.
You are customer-oriented, service-oriented and results-oriented and understand the target audience.
Leadership skills: you are a 'motivator and leader' for the team;
Strong social and communication skills and you are fluent in Arabic and English;
Excellent organizational and improvisational skills;
Technical insight and quality awareness;
Proactive personality - as the Flex or industrial sector is relatively new, this will require a lot of pioneering, finding the right way of working and assisting the Engineering and Sales team in how to offer these projects;
Stress-resistant and flexible.
