Are you ready to dive into the world of events? MTD specialises in providing temporary water solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects around the world. As Depot Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in and from your depot in Atlanta. In the US, MTD has depots in Atlanta and Las Vegas. You report directly to our US Operations Director, and you’re in charge for the departments project management, field engineers, and warehouse team linked to your region.

You are directly responsible for the projects which are linked to your depot and you will take care of delivering the projects on time. You divide the teams (project managers and field engineer teams) to ensure that the project teams have the right qualifications to do the job. You maintain close contact with these teams on the progress of the projects as well as progress in the warehouse. This role involves staff planning, developing warehouse staff, field engineers and project managers, team leadership, and, together with the Operations Director, ensuring that operations align with MTD’s global standards and client expectations.

Job content
  • Oversee daily operations in the depot, ensuring efficiency in workflow, logistics and resource management;
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, field engineers, and warehouse staff;
  • Ensure we have sufficient, well-trained staff for the projects;
  • Working with the Fleet Manager to ensure we have enough equipment for the projects;
  • You understand that we work 24/7 and you feel responsible for your depot;
  • You are accountable that all projects linked to the depot are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards;
  • Foster a culture of responsibility, teamwork and continuous improvement;
  • Work closely with project managers, the Operations Director and the Warehouse Manager to ensure proper planning, execution and completion of projects;
  • Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency;
  • Identify investments needed to improve project delivery.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities;
  • Customer-, service- and result-oriented personality;
  • Knowledge of project management principles and best practices (e.g. PMP);
  • Stress-resistant and a flexible attitude;
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in similar positions;
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • You can work on several projects simultaneously without any problem;
  • You are results-oriented and understand the target audience;
  • You are flexible and open to visiting projects.
