For our branch in Tilburg, we are looking for a: Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical maintenance, inspection, testing and preparation for hire of MTD’s hire fleet. You will work on water pumps, pressure-boosting systems, control panels, water treatment systems and other technical installations that are deployed worldwide at events, exhibitions and industrial projects.
You will ensure that materials are safe, reliable and available for use. You will also provide support in the event of breakdowns, repairs and technical improvements to the fleet. Where necessary, you will travel to project sites to test installations, commission them or resolve faults.
You will work closely with the Rental Fleet Manager, warehouse staff, mechanics and project teams.
What will you do?
Maintenance & Inspection
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on the rental fleet
- Inspecting, testing and preparing for hire pumps, pressure boosters, water treatment systems and related equipment
- Identifying and rectifying mechanical, electrical and control system faults
- Carrying out overhaul and repair work on systems and components
- Identifying technical improvements and contributing to the optimisation of the fleet
Inspections & Safety
- Carrying out and recording NEN 3140 inspections and tests on electrical equipment
- Monitoring the technical safety and quality of installations and tools
- Ensuring that inspections, maintenance and repairs are properly documented
- Working in accordance with the applicable health and safety, quality and environmental procedures
Service & Faults
- Act as the technical point of contact for technicians in the event of faults with installations and systems.
- Providing support in resolving technical issues on projects both at home and abroad.
- Commissioning, testing and adjusting installations on site.
- Take part in on-call duties in accordance with a rota.
Warehouse & Equipment Management
- Recording work carried out in maintenance and service reports
- Managing parts, tools and technical supplies
- Assisting with the preparation of materials for dispatch to projects
- Monitoring the technical condition of the rental fleet
What makes you the right candidate?
- MBO Level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable subject
- Experience with pumps, electrical installations and/or industrial equipment is an advantage
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and fault diagnosis is an advantage
- Hold a NEN 3140 VP certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Experience in inspecting electrical equipment is an advantage
- A good command of the Dutch language; English is an advantage
