As Water Quality & QHSE Coordinator, you will ensure that projects are carried out safely and in accordance with QHSE requirements, and that MTD holds the necessary certifications and maintains them. You will ensure that knowledge relating to water quality and QHSE is shared and safeguarded within the MTD organisation. Furthermore, you will ensure that awareness of, and compliance with, laws and regulations is communicated to your MTD colleagues and other project staff on site.
We expect you to take a leading role in ensuring the quality of the water we supply. You will proactively put forward ideas for improvements in the area of water sampling and, in the longer term, in the area of water treatment as well.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Coordinating and maintaining the validity of certifications such as VCA, the KIWA Safe Drinking Water Certificate, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Identify which processes need to be established, adapted and assessed in order to achieve certification
- Involving management, departments and staff in drawing up the appropriate processes
- Ensuring the effectiveness of processes through knowledge-sharing within the organisation
- Drawing up procedures and improving processes
- Submission of the correct reports on water quality.
- Transferring the necessary knowledge on water quality and QHSE protocols
- Ensuring effective and efficient communication within MTD regarding water quality and QHSE
- Discussing the results of analyses on a weekly basis
- Developing, providing advice and implementing actions based on the Data Analyst’s analyses across all areas of QHSE

- HBO level of working and thinking in the field of Water Management or Environmental Science
- In-depth knowledge of quality systems
- Audit Experience
- Experience of working in a changing and growing organisation
- A good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- You have an independent approach to work, are persuasive and possess strong analytical skills, and are committed to knowledge-sharing and development
- You can focus on the broad outlines of how things are going, form a picture of future developments and bring these together (in an innovative way) in the medium- to long-term policy
