As an HR Adviser within MTD, you’ll be part of our HR team at the head office in Tilburg. At present, the HR team comprising an HR Manager, an HR Adviser, an HR Support Officer and a Corporate Recruiter.
As an HR Adviser, you will have a varied role that combines operational and advisory responsibilities. On the one hand, you will share responsibility for and be involved in the day-to-day HR support. You will handle first-line enquiries; together with the HR Support officer, you will manage the HR mailbox and ensure that changes to payroll and personnel records are processed correctly. You will also be responsible for the onboarding, progression and departure of staff.
On the other hand, you’ll advise staff and managers, provide support with absence and performance management, contribute ideas to HR projects, and be given the freedom to take on projects of your own. You’ll work with both our Dutch and international offices, which makes this role particularly varied and dynamic!
Tasks & Responsibilities
In your role as an HR Adviser, your responsibilities will include:
- Advising staff and managers on a wide range of HR issues
- Support for staff on sick leave and maintaining contact with the Health and Safety Service
- Leading and/or participating in HR (improvement) projects
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HRM strategies, policies and procedures.
- Checking changes to staff and salary details
- Carrying out administrative and organisational tasks relating to recruitment, career progression and staff turnover (such as drawing up employment contracts)
- Facilitating the onboarding of new staff
- A backup for the HR Support staff member, ensuring that work can always continue.
What makes you the right candidate
- You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, and you have completed a relevant course of study
- You have already gained several years’ experience in an HR role
- You have knowledge of HR processes and topics such as recruitment, staff turnover and resignations, sick leave, salary changes, employment contracts, etc.
- You communicate clearly and interact easily with staff, managers and senior management
- You create overview and structure and do not lose sight of things
- You have a good command of Dutch and English at a business level
- You have a proactive attitude and enjoy taking responsibility independently and HR issues to solve.
