At MTD, as an HR Officer, you will be part of our HR team at our head office in Tilburg. The HR team currently consists of an HR Manager, an HR Officer, an HR Support Officer and a Corporate Recruiter.
As HR Officer, you have a multifaceted role. On the one hand, you are jointly responsible for and involved in day-to-day HR support. You pick up first-line questions, manage the HR mailbox and take care of processing changes in the payroll and personnel administration. You are also responsible for the inflow, transfer and outflow of employees.
On the other hand, you will advise employees and managers, support absenteeism and performance management, participate in HR projects and are also given the space to take up projects yourself. You work together with both the domestic and foreign branches, which makes this role extra varied and dynamic!

Tasks & Responsibilities
In your role as HR Support, your duties will include:
- Processing staff and salary changes
- Carrying out administrative and organisational tasks relating to recruitment, staff turnover and staff departures (such as drafting employment contracts and writing letters)
- Facilitating the onboarding of new employees
- Back-up for the HR Support Officer, ensuring that work can always continue.
In your role as HR officer, your duties will include:
- Advising staff and managers on a wide range of HR issues
- Support for staff on sick leave and maintaining contact with the Health and Safety Service
- Leading and/or participating in HR (improvement) projects
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HRM strategies, policies and procedures.
What makes you the right candidate
- You have a higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, and you have completed a relevant course of study
- You have already gained some experience working in an HR team
- You have sufficient knowledge of HR processes and topics such as entry, transfer and exit, sick leave, salary changes, employment contracts, etc.
- You communicate clearly and interact easily with staff, managers and senior management
- You create overview and structure and do not lose sight of things
- You have a good command of Dutch and English at a business level
- You have a proactive approach and enjoy taking the initiative to resolve HR issues.
